Story:
Burke took time Friday to watch the Columbus Blue Jackets practice on the outside ice, Winter Park, located on the McFerson Commons. During the practice, Coach John Tortorella took a fall, and will be out for a while with fractured ribs. We wish Coach Tortorella the best during his recovery!
After the practice, Burke enjoyed public skate. And he only fell once or twice! Winter Park has a variety of times available for public skate, and I have provided a link below so you can check out the times! Public skate is $5 and includes skate rental, if needed.
Rock and Roll Book Club's live recording event is this Tuesday, January 26, at the Tremont Road location of the Upper Arlington Public Library. This month Mark Dantzer, Pat Buzzard, Chuck Johnson and Ryan Smith will be discussing Hitless Wonder: A Life In Minor League Rock And Roll by Joe Oestreich. Immediately following, Joe will Skype for a Q & A session. Colin Gawel will also join to play a few songs live.
Saturday, we headed to the Greater Columbus Convention Center for the AAA Great Vacations Travel Expo! Many were there with information about traveling around Central Ohio, around Ohio, the country, and all over the world! I met two new best friends! See photo above!
Burke and I stopped by Zauber Brewing as they celebrated two years of beer at their taproom! Many showed up for this event, congratulations Zauber Brewing! We look forward to returning!
